Spring has finally arrived and the Den is filling up quickly for Spring and Summer months.

If you haven't already made a reservation for your pup for July and August it may be too late.

Welcome to Denise's Doggy Den & Walking Service! My home away from home for your SMALL dog.

 

In my home I provide a loving and pet-safe atmosphere with access to a fully fenced yard backing onto a quiet Metchosin property. We go on daily leashed walks based on your dog's physical abilities. They are free to explore my small backyard - always supervised by me. Or hang out on the upper sundeck (weather permitting) or in the house for a nap on the sofa or bed of choice. After all, it's their vacation too!

I only allow a few dogs and this small group ensures a calm, safe environment and friendly companionship for Lucy, my senior cockapoo, and George, a recently adopted (April 2022) chihuahua/corgi x.

Dogs are never crated unless you request it. You must supply your own crate.

You may bring any favourite (washable) bedding and safe toys.

Water bowls and numerous dog beds are provided throughout the house.

​

* Please NO puppies, (dogs under 2 years old) unneutered males, or females who may go into heat. I love puppies but many of my guests do not care for puppy energy.

​

* Not suitable for dogs who cannot manage stairs to upper floor main living areas.

* No high energy or high anxiety dogs. Neighbours are close by so excessive barking is not permitted.

* Smaller and socialized dogs only please. My biggest guests are Shetland Sheepdogs (shelties) and Basset Hounds.

* The majority of my guests are under 20 pounds and consist of Yorkshire Terriers, Shih Tzus, Miniature Schnauzers, Beagles, etc.

*It is not unusual for a dog to attempt to mark their territory upon arrival in a new place where other dogs are/have been. However, if your dog continues to urinate indoors they may be fitted with a disposable male wrap or female disposable diaper.*

If your dog uses pee pads at home please provide them for their stay.

 

All of my clients are repeat customers and love my Doggy Den almost as much as their dogs do, and I adore their dogs! :)

Proof of up-to-date vaccinations will be required at Meet & Greet (with exceptions)

Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is required

Flea and tick treatment is required at least one week prior to boarding (with exceptions)
